Northtown in 3D Stereo-Vision

I am backing up some scan files from a few years back and rediscovered these from 2005.  I took an entire series of 3D photos in the streets of North Kansas City, but never got around to editing them.  If you look at this pair cross-eyed (double click the photo first to make it as big as possible) you’ll begin to see three images instead of two – the middle one is the right and left images overlapped and should appear three-dimensional.  Be careful not to make yourself dizzy!

The obvious question, of course , is why on earth would anyone think it necessary to heighten the experience of viewing a photo of Northtown?  For that, I have no suitable answer.
